sycamore sunday

sycamore sunday (c) 2013  watercolor, pencil and ink
i take too many photos.  i'm not sure anyone will ever understand why or that it matters.  a lot of people kid me about it.  a very few tell me how much they appreciate it because they don't get to go to or see some of the places i'm blessed to.  THAT is what matters to me . . .  what it's all about.  plus, with some of the things i witness, i just remain in awe and want everyone to be able to see it.  some say 'back away from the camera - see the real thing.'  what they don't know is that i do.  i can get lost in the smallest of wonders for hours on end.  what i "shoot" is just a fraction of what i get to see.  i'll also sometimes take a photograph or a real treasure like flowers and leaves and turn them into a form of watercolor and ink.  i've never done one of the sky and water before but i tried it for the first time.
